2015 EG Justice Annual ReportEG Justice January 6, 2016
An overview of activities and work by EG Justice during 2015.
Building an open and just Equatorial Guinea requires civic engagement from local young students, activists, journalists, civil servants, lawyers, and many other professionals. It requires a movement built by an informed civil society capable of holding politicians and corporations accountable in order to drive its political destiny.
In the last seven years, many supporters have helped us plant the seeds of this movement. In the process, our local partners have been harassed, beaten, disbarred, and imprisoned. We have faced legal prosecution and we have been called racists, colonialists, and enemies of the state. But, together, as our annual report shows, we have persevered. We have led massive campaigns to expose a corrupt and authoritarian government.
