Letter to Foreign Embassies Regarding Constitutional Changes

In a letter sent to foreign embassies in Equatorial Guinea, EG Justice highlighted problems in the reformed constitution and urged them to press President Obiang to enact meaningful democratic reforms.

On November 11, EG Justice sent a letter to the embassies of Brazil, Cameroon, China, Cuba, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Morocco, Nigeria, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States, as well as the South African Foreign Ministry and the U.S. State Department, pointing out problems in the reformed constitutional text and urging them to press the Government of Equatorial Guinea for meaningful democratic reforms.
