Activists from Equatorial Guinea (AGE), a group of pro-democracy and human rights defenders, convened a number of gatherings in Madrid, August 2-3, 2013

The group held strategy sessions, as well as a well-attended roundtable discussion on the current situation in Equatorial Guinea.  The discussion panel, moderated by Paqui Mbomio Avang, included Tutu Alicante of EG Justice; opposition political leader, Mr. Severo Moto; human rights lawyer, Jose Luis Nvumba; and Professor Justo Bolekia Boleka. Equatoguinean comic artist and blogger, Nse Ramon, displayed some of his most recent work.
